The Pluribus One WAS® gives you total freedom and put you in charge! We offer you several ways to customize your user experience and tailor Pluribus One WAS® to your business needs. You have three available user interfaces to chose from when it comes to configure your system.
Configuring Pluribus One WAS®
The Pluribus One WAS® suite is highly customizable to support you in your daily activities. Configuration can be performed by using three interfaces:
- Pluribus One WAS® GUI - This web based graphic user interface is the most user friendly way to configure your system! Within its Settings section you will find several sub views that collect many available options. Finding what you need it just requires you to click the right tab in the navigation bar. Use this interface for a quick and simple approach to configuration.
- Pluribus One WAS® CLI - This command line interface provides you with several commands. The Domains commands allows you to configure one of the most important parameters: the Monitored Domains list. Use this interface if you want to configure this parameter with the maximum level of details and control possible. This interface is less easy compared to the graphic user interface but provides you with a total control.
- Pluribus One WAS® TUI - This text-based user interface runs on your Linux terminal and it is the perfect tool to configure your software directly from the shell. Use this interface if you want a quick way to configure almost all options directly from your shell.
There is no absolute best among these three user interfaces. Feel free to select the solution your prefer. The following sections you will explain you all the configuration parameters.
Configuration Parameters
Knowing the configuration parameters it is extremely useful and it will help us configuring Pluribus One WAS® to better provide you support. There are several available options and they are organized into categories. The following list includes all configuration categories with a short description.
- Instance Name: this parameter allows you to provide your deployed Pluribus One WAS® with a name of your choice.
- Data Retention: the AI Engine included within Pluribus One WAS® CORE learns by observing the data traffic which is temporarely stored within Pluribus One WAS® database. This configuration parameter allows you to decide for how long the data traffic is going to stay stored within the database before being automatically deleted.
- Detection Modules: during the data traffic analysis Pluribus One WAS® CORE uses several Detection Modules in order to detect threats and anomalies. You can decide which Detection Modules will be used and which ones will be ignored.
- SIEM Logging: Pluribus One WAS® CORE can work together with your SIEM by using the SIEM plugin. This category contains all SIEM related configuration parameters.
- LDAP Authentication: User access to Pluribus One WAS® GUI can be managed with LDAP. This category contains all LDAP related configuration parameters.
- Advanced Settings: A collection of advanced configuration parameters.
- Reports: Pluribus One WAS® CORE provides you with automatic reporting features through the Report plugin. This category contains all report related configuration parameters.
- Users: This configuration section allows you to manage users of the web based graphic user interface Pluribus One WAS® GUI.
- Color Mode: This configuration parameter allows you to select a graphic theme for the Pluribus One WAS® GUI.
- Monitored Domains: This configuration parameter regards the creation of a list of domains that will be monitored by Pluribus One WAS®.
Some of the categories above include only a single configuration parameter (e.g., Instance Name) while others include many parameters and can be more complex to manage (e.g., SIEM Logging).
